Blending Memphis Style With Connecticut Charm​​​​​​​
While exploring inspiration boards, I was drawn to badge-style logos with a funky, retro feel inspired by the Memphis design movement of the 1980s. I used bold geometric shapes and bright colors to create a playful, energetic logo that reflects Connecticut’s diverse attractions, from museums to parks. Designed in partnership with NBC CT, the logo sets a vibrant tone that helps communicate the purpose of the CT Season Pass: to boost tourism and encourage exploration across the state. The use of Memphis design aims to evoke a sense of nostalgia for Connecticut while encouraging people to unplug from technology and enjoy the outdoors and attractions the state has to offer.​​​​​​​
This campaign was a hit in Connecticut, generating over 50,000 signups and receiving coverage from many news outlets across the state. The problem we needed to solve was how to showcase Connecticut in a better light by highlighting its energy, attractions, and vibrant lifestyle. The messaging and brand work I contributed helped solidify this vision and made the campaign a success. Some of the questions we answered included:
How can Connecticut be positioned as the epicenter of play and creativity? We developed a gamification strategy to generate more leads. The design work harmonizes with a playful and exploratory approach to activities in CT.
